we get

x+y =7. ...(3)

By Subtracting both the equation

we get

x- y =3. ...(4)

Adding eqn (3) and (4)

we get

x = 5

put x= 5 in eqn (4)

5-y=3

-y= 3-5

y =2

therefore x=5 and y=2
