Given that:-

2 {x}^{2}  - 5x + 3 = 0

By mid-term splitting ,

 {2x}^{2}  - 2x - 3x + 3 = 0

(x - 1)(2x - 3) = 0

2x(x - 1) - 3(x - 1) = 0

(x - 1)(2x - 3) = 0

x - 1 = 0 \: or \: 2x - 3 = 0

x = 1 \:  \: or \:  \: 2x = 3

x = 1 \:  \: or \:  \:  \: x =  \frac{3}{2}
