hope this helps you.

2x^2 - 5x + 3 = 0

=> 2x^2/2 - 5x/2 + 3/2 = 0    (dividing both sides by 2)

=> x^2 - 5x/2 + 3/2 = 0

=> [x^2 - 5x/2 + (5/4)^2] - (5/4)^2 + 3/2 = 0

=> [x - 5/4]^2 - 25/16 + 3/2 = 0

=> [x - 5/4]^2 - (25-24/16) = 0

=> [x - 5/4]^2 - 1/16 = 0

=> [x - 5/4]^2 = 1/16

=> x - 5/4 = 1/4   (square rooting on both sides)

=> x = 1/4 + 5/4

=> x = (1+5/4)

=> x = 6/4

=> x = 3/2

Answer:

I think the question is 2x²-5x+3=0

Step-by-step explanation:

2x² - 5x + 3 =0

2x² -2x - 3x + 3 =0

2x (x - 1) - 3 (x - 1) =0

(2x + 3) (x - 1) =0

2x + 3 =0 & x - 1 =0

2x = -3 & x = 1

x = -3/2 or 1
