<b>Heya,

Using middle split term;

2 { x }^{2} - 7x = 39 \\ 2 {x }^{2} - 7x - 39 = 0 \\ 2 {x}^{2} + 6x - 13x - 39 = 0 \\ 2x |x + 3| - 13 |x + 3| = 0 \\ |x + 3| |2x - 13| = 0

Either, x + 3 = 0
x +3 = -3

Or, 2x - 13 = 0
2x = 13
x = \frac {13}{2}

Here's ur solution buddy,

2x²-7x=39
_____________________________
Expressing as ax² + bx +c=0
_____________________________

=> 2x²-7x-39=0

=>2x²-13x+6x-39=0

=>x(2x-13)+3(2x-13)=0

=>(2x-13)(x+3)=0

2x-13=0,

or x+3=0.

___________________________
Zero product rule

=> x= 13/2, or x= -3.

Thanks.
