 \bold{2y = 5 ( 3+ y)}

 \bold{2y = 5 ( y+ 3)}

 \bold{2y = 5  y+ 15}

 \bold{2y - 5y = 5  y+ 15 - 5y}

 \bold{ - 3y = 15}

 \bold{  \frac{- 3y}{ - 3}  =  \frac{15}{ - 3} }

 \bold{y =  - 5}
