Answer:

-5x+2y=-25 & 4x+3y=30

Therefore, 5x-2y=25 .....(1)

4x+2y=30.......(2)

5x-2y=25. [by(1)]

5x=25+2y

x=25+2y/5

By substituting, the value of x in equation (2).

4x+2y=30

4(25+2y/5) + 2y =30

(100+8y/5) + 2y = 30

20+8y+2y = 30

20+10y = 30

10y = 30-20

10y = 10

y = 10/10

y = 1

Put the value of y in equation(1).

-5x+2y=25

-5x+2(1) = 25

-5x+2 = 25

-5x = 25-2

-5x = 23

x = 23/-5
