let us assume 1/x to be a and 1/y to be b
therefore the equations become,
3a - 2b = 0.........i
2a + 5b = 19......ii
solving i and ii using elimination method,
we get , a=2
substituting a=2 in equation i
we get , b=3
therefore we got,
a=1/x=2 and b =1/y= 3
ie x = 1/2 and y=1/3
now we know that,
y=ax+3
substituting the values of x and y,
we get, -16/3
