Answer :-

Value of x = -2.

Explanation :-

Given Equation : 3(x - 3) = 5(2x + 1).

To Find : The value of x.

Solution :

Let's Solve.

➛ 3(x - 3) = 5(2x + 1).

Multiply 3 by (x - 3) and 5 by (2x + 1).

➛ 3(x) - 3(3) = 5(2x) + 5(1).

➛ 3x - 9 = 10x + 5.

Use Transposition.

➛ 3x - 10x = 5 + 9.

➛ -7x = -14.

Cancel out the ' – ' sign.

➛ 7x = 14.

Take 7 to RHS.

x = 14/7.

x = -2.

Therefore, Value of x = -2.

Verification :-

➛ 3(x - 3) = 5(2x + 1).

➛ 3(-2 - 3) = 5(2(-2) + 1).

➛ 3 × (-5) = 5(-4 + 1).

➛ -15 = 5 × -3.

➛ -15 = -15.

LHS = RHS.

Hence, Verified.
