Answer:

3/x+y+11/x-y=10

______(Given equations)

4/x+y+5/x-y=13

Substituting 1/x+y by my and 1/x-y by n

3m+11n=10............(1)

4m+5n=13..........(2)

Multiplying eq, (1) by 4 and (2) by 3 we get,

12m+44n=40.......(3)

12m+15n=39.........(4)

Subtracting eq, (4) from (3)

29n=1

n=1/29

Substituting the value of n in eq. (1)

3m+11/29=10

3m=10-11/29

3m=290-11/29

3m=279/29

m=279/29×1/3

m=93/29

Now, 1/x+y=m

1/x+y=93/29

93x+93y=29.............(5)

1/x-y=n

1/x-y=1/29

x-y=29............. (6)

Multiplying eq, (6) by 93 we get,

93x-93y=2697

Adding (5) &(6)

186x=2726

x=14.65

&y=1334.55
