GIVEN :

A quadratic equation 3(x² - 4) = 5x .

TO FIND :

Value of 'x' = ?

SOLUTION :

 \\ \implies{ \bold{3( {x}^{2} - 4) = 5x}} \\

 \\ \implies{ \bold{3 {x}^{2} - 12= 5x}} \\

 \\ \implies{ \bold{3 {x}^{2} - 5x - 12= 0}} \\

• Now Splitting Middle term –

 \\ \implies{ \bold{3 {x}^{2} { \underbrace{ - 9x + 4x}}- 12= 0}} \\

 \\ \implies{ \bold{3x(x - 3) + 4(x- 3 )= 0}} \\

 \\ \implies{ \bold{(3x + 4)(x - 3)= 0}} \\

• So that –

 \\ \implies{ \bold{(3x + 4) = 0}} \\

 \\ \implies \large{ \boxed{ \bold{x = - \dfrac{4}{3} }}} \\

• And –

 \\ \implies{ \bold{x - 3= 0}} \\

 \\ \implies \large{ \boxed{ \bold{x =3}}} \\

● Hence , Value of 'x' = 3 , - (4/3)
