3x - 1 / 4 = 2

3x - 1 = 2 × 4

3x - 1 = 8

3x = 8 + 1

3x = 9

x = 9 / 3

x = 3

Verification :-

3x - 1 / 4 = 2

3 × 3 - 1 / 4 = 2

9 - 1 / 4 = 2

8 / 4 = 2

2 = 2

Hence, verified x = 3
