Question :-

Solve :

\frac{3x - 2}{2} < \: \frac{2x + 1}{5} \: \: \: ᴡʜᴇʀᴇ \: x ∈ ᴡ.

Solution :-

Multiplying both the sides of the Inequation by 10 ( the LCM of the denominators 2 and 5),

5(3x - 2) < 2(2x +1)

or, 15x - 10 < 4x + 2

or, 15x - 4x < 2 + 10

or, 11x < 12

or, x < \frac{12}{11}

But x ∈ W ( the set of whole numbers) . So, x represents all the whole numbers less than 12/11.

Therefore, The solution set is {0, 1}.
