3x +2y=10..(1)

4x-y = 6 .... (2)

multiply the equation( 2) by 2.

8x -2y = 12....(3)

adding eq. 1 and 3

3x + 2y =10

+ 8x - 2y = 12

11x = 22

x = 22/11

x = 2

put the value of x=2 in eq. 2

4×2 - y = 6

8 - y = 6

- y = 6-8

-y = -2

therefore y = 2 so ... x =2 and y=2
