2x + 3y =4_____(2)×3

We have 6x +4y =22

6x +9y =12

By subtracting these equations we have

- 5y= 10

Y= - 2

Subsitute y value in equation (1)

3x + 2( -2) =11

3x = 15

X =5

P = 8x + 5y

P= 8(5) + 5( -2) =40 -10 = 30
