3x + 2y = 14. (1)
-x. + 4y = 7. .......(2)

Multiply (2) by 3

3x + 2y = 14
-3x + 12y =21

Add both equation

14y = 35
y = 5/2

Put in (1)

3x +2(5/2) = 14
3x =14-5
3x = 9
x= 3
