you can do this by elimination method I. e first you multiply the first equation by 5 and second equation by 3 and then you can easily find the value 'x' and then you multiply second equation by 2 then you can easily find the value of y.

Ans: 3x+2y=29

5x-y=18

3x+2y=29

10x-2y=36 (multiply by 2 both side)

13x=65

x=65/13

x=5
