3x-2y=6 _____(1)

4x-3y=9 _____(2)

By substitution method,

3x - 2y = 6

3x = 6 + 2y

x = 6 + 2y/3 ______(3)

Substituting the value of X in equation 2

4x - 3y = 9

4(6 + 2y /3) - 3y = 9

4(6 + 2y) - 9y = 27

24 + 8y - 9y = 27

24 - y = 27

y= 27/24

Substituting the value of y in equation 3

x = 6 + 2y / 3

x = 6 + 2(27/24) /3

x = 24×6 + 2(27) /3

x = 144 + 54 /3

x = 198 /3

x = 66

x=66 , y=27/24
