 \frac{3x + 4}{4x - 8} =  \frac{3}{2}

cross\:multiplication

2(3x + 4) = 3(4x - 8)

6x + 8 = 12x - 24

6x - 12x =  - 24 - 8

 - 6x =  - 32

x =  \frac{ - 32}{ - 6}

x =  \frac{16}{3}
