3x/4 - 7/4 = 5x + 12
Taking LCM on left side, we get
(3x-7)/4 = 5x+12
Taking 4 on the other side, we get
3x-7 = 20x + 48
3x-20x = 48+7
-17x = 54
x= -54/17
x = -3.12
