Then we get the equation :4x-4y= 4 (3) Add equation (1) and (2) to eliminate y, because the coefficients of y are the same.

So , we get ( 3x+4x) +(4y-4y)

7x=14

x=2

Substituting this value of x in (1),we get

3x+4y =10

4y=4

y=1.
