Solution

Given :-

  • 3x - 4y = 10_______(1)
  • 4x + 3y = 5________(2)

Find :-

  • Value of x & y

Explanation

Elimination Method

Multiply by 4 in equ(1) & 3 in equ(2)

➡12x - 16y = 40________(3)

12x + 9y = 15________(4)

Subtract equ(3) & equ(4)

➡-16y - 9y = 40 - 15

➡-25y = 25

➡y = 25/(-25)

➡y = -1

Keep Value of y in equ(3)

➡12x - 16 × -1 = 40

➡12x = 40 - 16

➡12x = 24

➡x = 24/12

➡x = 2

Hence

  • Value of x = 2
  • Value of y = -1
