Answer:

3X + 4Y = 11 x 2

2X + 3Y = 8 x 3

= 6X + 8Y = 11

6X + 9Y = 24

(-) (-) (-)

= 0 - 1 Y = - 13

-Y = -13

Y = 13

SUBSTITUTE THE VALUE OF Y IN ANY OF THE EQUATION

3X + 4Y =11

3X + 4 (13) = 11

3X + 52 =11

3X = 11 - 52

3X = 41

X = 41/ 3
