Solve
3x-4y=13.5 and
x-3y=12
Simultaneously

3x-4y=13.5......equation 1

x-3y=12........ equation 2

multiply equation 2 by 3....

we get ...

3x-9y=36......... equation 3

subtract equation 1 from 3....we get....

3x-3x-9y-(-4y)=36-13.5

-5y=22.5

theirfore y=(-4.5)

substitute the value of y in equation 2...we get....

x-3*(-4.5)=12

theirfore x-13.5=12

theirfore x=12+13.5=25.5
