SOLUTION

TO SOLVE

Using Elimination method

 \sf{3x + 4y = 5 \:  \:  \:  }

 \sf{3x + 2y = 13 \:  \:  \:  }

EVALUATION

Here the given system of equations are

 \sf{3x + 4y = 5 \:  \:  \:  -  -  -  - (1)}

 \sf{3x + 2y = 13 \:  \:  \:  -  -  -  - (2)}

Now Equation 1 - Equation 2 gives

2y = - 8

 \implies \sf{y =  - 4}

Putting the values of y in Equation 1 we get

 \sf{3x + (2 \times  - 4) = 13 }

 \sf{ \implies \: 3x - 8 = 13 }

 \sf{ \implies \: 3x  = 21 }

 \sf{ \implies \: x  =7 }

Hence the required solution is

x = 7 & y = - 4
