Solution -

Q. (- 4) + 8 + (- 3)

= (- 4) + 8 - 3

= (- 4) + 5

= 1

∴ the answer is 1

Explaination -

Integers are the numbers which can be written in it's original form [i.e. 1, 2, 3...] and also, in it's negative form [i.e. (- 1), (-2), (- 3),....]

Some rules to know -

(-) (-) = (+)

(+) (-) = (-)

(-) (+) = (-)

(+) (+) = (+)

The number line goes like this -

.... (- 3, (- 2), (- 1), 0, 1, 2, 3 ....

Note -

0 is neither a Negative number nor a Positive number, it is a Neutral number

Always remember, a negative interger is always smaller than a positive integer

i.e. 4 > (- 6) , 3 > (- 3), Etc...
