Given :   4/x+y -3/x-y =5  , 9/x+y -5/x-y =4  ,  x + y ≠ 0 and x – y ≠ 0

To Find :  Value of x & y

Solution:

Let say  1/(x + y)  = a    & 1/(x - y)  =  b

=> 4a   - 3b  = 5   Eq1

&  9a  - 5b  =  4   Eq2

5*Eq1  - 3*Eq2

=> 20a - 27a   = 25 - 12

=> -7a =  13

=> a =  -13/7

9 * eq1  - 4 * Eq2

=> -27b + 20b  = 45 - 16

=> -7b = 29

=> b = -29/7

x + y  =   -7/13

x  - y   =  -7/29

Adding both

2x  =  -7 * 42 /( 13 * 29)

=> x  =  -147/377

2y  = -7/13  + 7/29

=> y = -56/377

x =  -147/377

y = -56/377
