Solve:

4x - 2 = 2x + 2

SOLUTION :

Rearrange the equation by subtracting what is to the right of the equal sign from both sides of the equation :

                    4*x-2-(2*x+2)=0

2x - 4  =   2 • (x - 2)

x-2 = 0

x=2

Solve:

3x - 15 = 2x - 5

SOLUTION :

3*x-15-(2*x-5)=0

 x-10 = 0

Add  10  to both sides of the equation :

                     x = 10
