Heya

Given\:equations :-
4x + 3y = 5 ...{1}
-x + 2y = 7 ...{2}

Multiplying {1} by 2 and {2} by 3 ,
8x + 6y = 10 ...a
–3x+6y = 21 ...b

Subtracting a from b :

-3x+6y = 21
8x + 6y = 10
__________
-11x = 11

x=\frac{11}{-11}

x=-1

Substituting the value of x in {2} ,

-(-1) + 2y = 7

1+2y=7

2y=7-1

2y=6

y=\frac{6}{2}

y=3

Hence, the values of x and y are –1 and 3 respectively.
