Solve 4x+3y=5 and -x+2y=7 by substitution method

2y=7+x
y=7+x/2

4x +3(3.5+x/2)=5
4x+1.5x=5-10.5
11x/2= -11/2
x=-1
y= 3
-4+3y=5
3y=9
so y=3

I'm not sure about the method because i had learnt it a long time back...but i guess this is the correct method
