Step-by-step explanation:

5/x-1 + 1/y-2 =2------------(1)

6/x-1 -3/y-2 =1-------------(2)

put; 1/x-1=a & 1/y-2=b

5a + b =2------------(3)

6a - 3b =1-------------(4)

multiple (3)×3 and adding (5) & (4)

15a + 3b =6------------(5)

6a - 3b =1-------------(4)

________

21a=7

a=7/21

a=1/3

put a=1/3 in equation (3)

5a + b =2

5(1/3) + b =2

5/3 + b =2

b =2-5/3

b =1/3

but; 1/x-1=a & 1/y-2=b

1/x-1=1/3 & 1/y-2=1/3

x-1=3 & y-2=3

x=3+1 & y=3+2

x=4 & y=5
