To solve : according to law of indices
Solution :
Law of indices is also called as is Law of exponents . Some of the rules of law of exponents are given below :
- The product property of exponents
- The quotient property of exponents,
- The zero property of exponents,
- The negative property of exponents.
- To solve the above question we use the quotient property of exponents : This property is used to divide two expressions with the same bases while their exponents subtract keeping the base same as it is.
- Therefore , according to rule we can write as -
- Now , as we can see on subtracting exponents we get exponent as 0
- so here we use the zero property of exponents - it states that any number raised to the power 0 is always 1.
- Therefore ,
Hence is equal to 1.
