5x+2y=2 _____(1)

2x+3y=8 _____(2)

2x=8-3y

x=8-3y/2

Substituting value of x in equation (1)

5(8-3y/2)+2y=2

40-15y/2 +2y=2

40-15y+4y/2=2

40-11y/2=2

-11y/2=2-40

-11y=-38×2

-11y=-77

y=7
