Given Equation is 5x + 3y = 23 ------- (1)
Given Equation is 2x + 4y = 15 ------- (2)
On solving (1) * 2 & (2) * 5, we get
10x + 6y = 46
10x + 20y = 75
------------------------
-14y = -29
y = 29/14.
Substitute y = 29/14 in (1), we get
= > 5x + 3y = 23
= > 5x + 3(29/14) = 23
= > 5x + 87/14 = 23
= > 5x = 23 - 87/14
= > 5x = 235/14
= > x = 47/14.
Therefore the value of x = 47/14 and y = 29/14.
Hope it helps!
