solve:5x+8y=18and 2x-3y=1 by elimination meathod

5x+8y=18...….........1
2x-3y=1.................2

elimination method
eq 1 ×2➡️10x+16y=36
eq 2 ×(-5)➡️-10x+15y=-5

so 31y =31
y=1

sub X in eq 1
5x+8y=18
5x+8(1)=18
5x=10
X=2
