both are alike because their both's length are equal. they are different as one of then is cube and other one cylinder
(a) lateral surface of a cylinder=2*22/7*3.5*7
= 44*3.5
= 154.0cm ²
(b) lateral surface of cube = 4l²
= 4*7²= 196
so lateral surface of cube is more than cylinder

Lateral Surface Area (LSA)

LSA of cylinder

Let the radius(r) of cylinder be =7/2 cm

Height (h) = 7 cm

LSA of cylinder = 2πrh

= 2 × 3.14 × 7/2 × 7

= 154 cm^2

LSA of cube

Sides of cube = 7 cm

LSA of cube =4(Side × Side)

= 4 × 7 × 7

= 196 cm ^2

Therefore, We can say that LSA of cube is greater than LSA of Cylinder.
