Answer:

94.5 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

If you carefully notice the figure :

There are 4 quadrants .

The square has a side of 21 cm .

The radius of the quadrant is 21/2 cm .

Area of square

Area of square = side × side

⇒ area = 21 cm × 21 cm

⇒ area = 441 cm²

Area of 4 quadrants

Area of 4 quadrants = 4 × 1/4 × π r²

⇒ π r²

⇒ 22/7 × 21/2 × 21/2

⇒ 11 × 3 × 21/2

⇒ 33/2 × 21

⇒ 16.5 × 21

⇒ 346.5

Area = 346.5 cm²

Area of shaded portion

Area = 441 - 346.5

= 94.5

The area of shaded portion is 94.5 cm².

Heya user..!!

Here is ur answer..!!

Answer:

  • Given , ABCD is a square of side 21 cm.

  • We have to find area of shaded reason so :

→ Area of square ₋ 4 × Area of Quadrant.

→ a² ₋ 4  × 1/4 πr²

→ Put the values in it

  • a²  = 21 × 21

Area of square ⇒  441 cm²

  • 441  - 22/7 × 21/2 × 21/2

  • 441  - 11 × 3  × 21/2

  • 441  -  346.5

  • 94.5 cm² is the answer...!!!
