now, multiply eq1 with 3 and eq2 with 2 on both sides.

21x - 6y - 9 = 0

will be the first equation........3

44x - 6y - 32 = 0

will be the second equation..........4

now subtract eq3 and eq4.

23x - 23 = 0

x = 1

now, put x in eq1,

7(1) - 2y - 3 = 0

2y = 4

y = 2

hence,

x = 1

and

y = 2
