x² + 1/x² =(√5)²+2

x² + 1/x²=7

2. x⁴ + 1/x⁴ =(x² + 1/x²)² -2(1/x²)(x²)

x⁴ + 1/x⁴=49-2

x⁴ + 1/x⁴ =47.

Q.2

x + 1/x = √{x² + 1/x² +2}

x + 1/x =√{64}

x + 1/x =8. or. x + 1/x. =-8
