☞ANSWER

a) \: 35 = 9 + 13(x - 1) \\ 35 = 9 + 13x - 13 \\ 35 = 13x - 1 3 + 9 \\ 35 = 13x - 4 \\  - 13x =  - 4 - 35 \\  - 13x =  - 39 \\ x =  \frac{ - 39}{ - 13}  \\ \\  = 3

\huge\mathfrak\red{ =  =  =  =  =  =  =  =  =  =  = }

b) 4(p-2)-2(p-1) = 10

4p-8 -2p + 2 = 10

2p-6 = 10

-6 = 10+6

-6 = 16

16/-6

Step-by-step explanation:

35=9+13( x - 1 )

35-9=13(x - 1)

26=13x-13

26+13=13x

39=13x

x=39/13

x=3

(b) 4(p+2) -2(p-1)=10

4p+8 -2p+2=10

2p+ 10=10

2p= 0

p=0
