Given :

  • Force (F) = 60 N
  • Area of cross-section (A) = 10 cm²

To find :

  • Pressure (P)

Solution :

We have,

⟹ F = 60 N

⟹ A = 10/100000 m²

⟹ A = 0.001 m²

We know,

⟹ P = F/A

Hence,

⟹ P = 60/0.001

⟹ P = 60000 Pa

∴ The pressure exerted by the body is 60000 Pa.

Answer:

60000 \: pascals

Explanation:

Firstly you've gotta convert area to SI units

 {10}^{4}   {cm}^{2}  = 1 {m}^{2}  \\ 10 {cm }^{2}  =  {10}^{ - 3}  {m}^{2}

Now,

pressure = force \div area \\  =  \frac{60}{ {10}^{ - 3} }  \\  = 60 \times  {10}^{3}  \\  = 60000 \: pascals

Also, the above answer is wrong because 1m^2 is not equal to 100cm^2.

Hope this helps ;)
