Solve.
A number consists of two-digits. The digit at the units place is 3 times the digit at the tens place. If 36 is added to the number, the digits are reversed. Find the original number.

here as given

let no .at tens digit be x

unit digit = 3x

the no. is (x) ×10 +3x

= 10x+ 3x

= 13x

so as per the question

= 13x + 36 = 3x × 10+ x

= 13x+ 36= 31x

= 36= 31x-13x

= 36= 18x

= therefore x= 2
