3x + 2y= 8...........eqn 1
5x - 3y= 7............eqn 2

From eqn 1
3x=8-2y
x=8-2y÷3..........eqn 3

Put 3 in 2
5x - 3y =7
5(8-2y÷3) - 3y=7
5(8-2y)-9y=21
40-10y-9y=21
40-19y=21
19y=19
∴y=1

Put y=1 in eqn 3
x=8-2y÷3
=8-2(1)÷3
=8-2÷3
=6÷3
=2
 \left \{ {{y=1} \atop {x=2}} \right.
