Solve a right angle triangle ABD using Pythagoras theorem whose hypotenuse AB is (x+2) and base BD is 6cm and height AD is x.

( x + 2 ) ² = x² + 6 ²

= x² + 4 + 4x = x² + 36

= x² - x² + 4x = 36 - 4

= 4x = 32

x = 8 Ans.
