ANSWER = 9/4 m

 \sf no. \: of \: saplings = 4

 \sf distance \: between \: adjacent = \frac{3}{4}m \\

 \sf distance \:  between \: first \: and \:  last

 \implies \frac{3}{4} + \frac{3}{4} +\frac{3}{4} \\

 \implies 3 \times \frac{3}{4} \\

 \implies \frac{9}{4} m \\

distance between adjacent sapling= 3/4 m

distance between first and 4th

==> 3/4 + 3/4 + 3/4

==> 9/4

==> 2 + (1/4) m
