I will solve the first part u do the second part on ur own
4xsquare -3x - 1
By middle term splitting,
4xsquare - 4x + X - 1
4x(x-1) + 1(x-1)
(x-1)(4x+1)
So, their zeroes are- 1 , -1\4
Therefore,alpha= -1 and beta= -1/4
Now u can use alpha + beta= -b/a or alpha*beta=c\a
