5x + 2y = -6 --(1)

x + 5y = 4

So,

x = 4 - 5y --(2)

Sub (2) in (1),

5(4-5y) + 2y = -6

20 - 25y + 2y = -6

20 - 23y = -6

23y = 26

y = 26/23

Substitute 'y' in any other equation,

Lets take (2),

x = 4 - 5y

x = 4 - 5*(26/23)

x = 4 - 130/23

x = (92 - 130)/23

x = -38/23
