Answer:

Let the three consecutive integers be x, x + 1 and x + 2.

According to the question,

2x + 3(x + 1) + 4(x + 2) = 74

=> 2x + 3x + 3 + 4x + 8 = 74

=> 9x + 11 = 74

=> 9x = 74 – 11

=> 9x = 63

=> x = 63/9

=> x = 7

Hence first integer = 7, second integer = 7 + 1 = 8 and third integer = 7 + 2 = 9.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

3x-12+4x=6x+2.

3x+4x-6x=2+12

x=14

substitue x=14 in the equation

3(14)-12+4(14)=6(14)+2

42-12+56=84+2

30+56=86

86=86

hence checked

17=3(p-5)+8

17=3p-15+8

17=3p-7

17+7=3p

24=3p

p=8

substitute p=8 in equation

17=3(p-5)+8

17=3(8-5)+8

17=3 x 3+ 8

17=9+8

17=17

hence checked
