2 {}^{(x + 1)} = {4}^{(x - 3)} \\ {2}^{(x + 1)} = ({2}^{2} ) {}^{(x - 3)} \\ {2}^{(x + 1)} = {2}^{(2x - 6)} \\ base \: are \: same \: so \\ x + 1 = 2x - 6 \\ 1 + 6 = 2x - x \\ 7 = x \\ = > x = 7
