From properties of a kite; diagonals are perpendicular bisectors of one another. Main diagonal (AC) bisects ∠A and ∠C

So,  ∠MAD = 90°- 42° = 48°

Since AD=DG; ∠DGA = ∠DAG = y°

Since OM = OA; ∠AMO = ∠MAO = x°

Also, ∠MAD = ∠MAO - ∠DAG

So, x°-y° = 48°

answer is option (2)
