The answer is z = -48 and the equation is verified.

GIVEN

Algebraic equation;

2z/3—5=3z/4—1

TO FIND

To solve and verify the given expression;

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows;

We are given an algebraic equation.

We will solve the LHS and RHS simultaneously.

To verify the equation, LHS= RHS

 \frac{2z}{3}  - 5 =  \frac{3z}{4}  - 1

Arranging the like terms;

 \frac{2z}{3}  -  \frac{3z}{4}  =  - 1 + 5

 \frac{8z - 9z}{12}  = 4

-z = 12 × 4 = -48

Putting the value of z = -48 in the given equation.

\frac{2 \times  - 48}{3}  - 5 =  \frac{3 \times  - 48}{4}  - 1

2 × -16 - 5 = 3 × -12 - 1

-32 - 5 = -36 - 1

-37 = -37

LHS = RHS. Hence, Proved.

Hence, The answer is z = -48 and the equation is verified.
